Community News
Redwood Coast Women's Conference
Vineyard Offshore was a proud sponsor of this inspiring event, held at the historic Eagle House in Eureka. Hosted by the Redwood Coast Chamber Foundation and the Greater Eureka Chamber, the gathering brought together female leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals for a full day of empowerment and learning. The day began with opening remarks from Foundation and Chamber CEO Nancy Olson, followed by an engaging keynote address and workshops. Topics ranged from community engagement to personal finance and public speaking- all designed to help women strengthen their leadership skills. Representing VO, Jaclyn Robinson had a great time connecting with fellow attendees- including a few familiar faces from her Redwood Coast Leadership program. Overall, it was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate women’s leadership on the North Coast!
NCIDC Ribbon Cutting
NCIDC hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony outside their gift shop in Eureka to unveil a new display case showcasing Native American basketry and artifacts. Many items had been recently restored and used in ceremony and now serves as a beautiful reminder of living cultural traditions and community pride. Guests enjoyed traditional songs, prayers and remarks from NCIDC CEO, Madison Flynn (pictured) and Eureka Mayor, Kim Bergel.
LA Business Council
Vineyard Offshore participated in the 19th Annual L.A. Business Council Sustainability Summit, which convened leaders across government, energy, and industry to advance California’s clean energy goals. Representing Vineyard Offshore, Market Lead, Rick Umoff joined the Transmission & Renewable Energy panel alongside other leaders from the energy industry. He emphasized the critical role that offshore wind and associated transmission infrastructure will play in meeting California’s growing energy needs and achieving the state’s renewable energy targets. The Summit underscored the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors to build resilient, future-ready infrastructure for a sustainable California.
Vineyard Offshore Team in Humboldt
Vineyard Offshore CEO Alicia Barton recently visited Humboldt to connect with Tribal Nations and the local community. Highlights of the trip included boat tours of both the Humboldt Port and the Klamath River, as well as meetings with community leaders and local residents, where she gained a deeper appreciation for the culture and unique beauty of Humboldt County.

September Roadshow
From elk sightings to engaging conversations, our September Roadshow was a success! Vineyard Offshore hosted a round of events in Del Norte County, including stops in Crescent City and at the Elk Valley Rancheria, where Tribal leaders, fishermen and community members joined to learn more about offshore wind and share local perspectives. We hosted three great gatherings at Port o’ Pints, the Sam Lopez Community Center, and Sea Quake Brewery. Each event highlighted the strong community spirit and collaboration that continue to shape the North Coast’s clean energy future.
