New England Electricity Restructuring Roundtable
Vineyard Offshore was honored to sponsor this forum for energy dialogue. Our CEO, Alicia Barton, spoke on a panel titled “Which Resources Count?” offering an important perspective on the reliability and affordability of offshore wind. Thank you to Raab Associates LLC for organizing the series, to Janet Gail Besser for moderating, and to Governor Healey for her opening remarks.
Vineyard Offshore staff gathered at the New Bedford Whaling Museum to reconnect, share expertise, and learn from scientist Dr. Glen Gawarkiewicz. The team also explored the New Bedford Harbor and collaborated on how to best support one another as well as our broader community.
Summer's Last Blast
The SouthCoast Community Foundation invited Vineyard Offshore to their 30th anniversary celebration, a milestone honoring three decades of philanthropy, partnership, and progress. The event served as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community unites.
Schemitzun Feast of Green Corn and Dance
Vineyard Offshore proudly attended the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s Schemitzun Feast of Green Corn and Dance. The event was a beautiful way to honor ancestors, warriors, veterans and Elders by exhibiting tractional and contemporary dance, live music, authentic craft and cuisine.
Vineyard Offshore was proud to sponsor the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) in Boston. This dynamic gathering brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and advocates from across the country to explore a wide range of policy issues and emerging trends. We appreciated the opportunity to connect with many attendees at our booth to share more about our mission and work.
Feast of the Blessed Sacrament
Vineyard Offshore was a presenting partner at this year's Feast of the Blessed Sacrament. We celebrated in New Bedford with a fun-filled weekend featuring world-class entertainment, a lively carnival, a giant parade, and the very best Portuguese cuisine.
Collaboration at the National Offshore Wind Institute
Vineyard Offshore was proud to be in attendance when Bristol Community College and One SouthCoast Chamber hosted Congressman Bill Keating at the National Offshore Wind Institute. Thank you to all who contributed to a thoughtful and engaging discussion.

Meet Liz Marsjanik
Meet Vineyard Offshore’s Director of Environmental Affairs, Liz Marsjanik - with nearly 20 years of experience in protected species permitting, environmental compliance, marine biology, and renewable energy R&D, plays a vital role in ensuring our projects are developed and constructed while protecting the ecosystem. Based in both Boston and New Bedford, Liz is a champion of science-based decision-making, driving responsible offshore wind development in the country.
Liz played a pivotal role in the permitting and construction of Vineyard Wind 1, the nation’s first commercial-scale offshore wind energy project. Her deep understanding in protected species compliance has helped shape projects that balance both ecological stewardship with energy production. She ensures our work is grounded in peer-reviewed science so our projects can coexist safely with terrestrial and marine ecosystems.
Her leadership in advancing innovative detection technologies has helped to set advanced standards for marine mammal protection in the offshore wind industry.
Liz’s commitment to environmental stewardship extends beyond project work. She serves on numerous research advisory boards, was most recently appointed to the Massachusetts Ocean Advisory Commission, and is an active Steering Committee member of the Regional Wildlife Science Collaborative, where she helps bridge science and policy across the region.
The Vineyard Offshore supply chain is a testament to the power of American innovation and industry. Spanning over 40 states, this nationwide network of manufacturers, fabricators, and skilled workers is helping build American made energy. Each element is part of a larger mission: to create a resilient offshore wind industry that delivers well-paying jobs, economic opportunity, and sustainable energy.
