Our efforts continue to focus on uplifting local businesses, fostering valued partnerships, supporting the Vineyard Wind 1 project, and advancing the Vineyard Wind 2 project. Here are some highlights of our recent and upcoming work in New England.

Montauk Fisheries Outreach
At the Montauk Fisheries Event, we had the invaluable opportunity to hear directly from fishermen, gaining insights that continue to shape our work as we advance our projects. Our fisheries team not only answered questions from local attendees but also learned a great deal from their thoughtful inquiries. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
New England Governors and Canadian Premiers Reception
Canadian Premiers and New England Governors gathered in Boston for discussions on tariffs, energy, biotech and other collaborative opportunities. Vineyard Offshore proudly sponsored a reception with the New England Council, where our CEO, Alicia Barton had the honor of introducing Governor Healey.

Maggie Graduates
Congratulations to our very own, Maggie Arruda who graduated from Leadership Southcoast’s LEAD SouthCoast program this June! The LEAD SouthCoast program emerges students in various topics including arts and culture, public health, environmental sustainability, government, and more. The program was a valuable opportunity for Maggie to connect with professionals and leaders beyond the traditional offshore wind space, broadening her perspective and strengthening regional relationships. Maggie exemplifies the Vineyard Offshore values of community, collaboration, and leadership. We’re lucky she’s on our team.

Video: Song sung by Councilman Weeden's brother Annawon Weeden
On June 11, David Weeden, who serves as a Tribal Historic Preservation Officer and as a council member for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, was awarded with the Massachusetts Storyteller Award. This is a fitting tribute as the Tribe has been a longstanding environmental advocate. The Tribe kindly shares generational wisdom, reminding us that protecting the Earth isn’t a new idea. Their advocacy is as strong as ever, and this recognition is well deserved. Congratulations to the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and Councilman Weeden!
